This week at Bakers Delight we were researching the topic “Advertising”.
When we first arrived the shop was quiet so they were able to talk to us straight away. The one problem was that the week before we forgot to send them the questions and what we will be asking about, luckily we brought the folder with the questions inside. Because we didn’t send them the e-mail our trip this week was about 15-30 minutes.
In those 15-30 minutes we got lots of information on our topic, even more than we needed. We found out that you can find advertising of bakers delight in the paper, on the T.V, in flyers and even from the word of mouth.
Some of our questions were: What ways do you advertise? How has your advertising changed over the years? and much, much more. Some of our questions had lots of answers and some only had one or two. To be honest we could have done better on our questions but they were still good questions and fitted our topic.
We had a great time and can’t believe that next week is out last week!

On Tuesday 12 of august, the Baker’s Delight group went to their business with the aim knowing your business. When we arrived Michalea told us what we were doing which was making our own finger buns. We first asked questions and she gave us the answers in less than 5 minutes.
Our group went to the back of the bakery and put on hats and aprons. We played with dough and we had to put them in a machine that cuts them into 4 equal parts. Then a man named Alex (who was the head baker) put dough into to the circle presser and made dough into circles.
Next Alex came out with finger bun that had no frosting on them. So it was up to us to do the frosting, Nathan and Joelee frosted theirs with coconut and Corrine and Cristian frosted theirs with 100’s and 1000’s. We got to take them home which was even better. We had the best time this week and cannot wait to go back next week.

This week all of the senior level went into the community to learn about occupation health and safety. The business our group went to was Baker’s Delight. We walked to Baker’s Delight and when we got there we introduced ourselves to Michaela. We then took a tour of the back of Baker’s Delight, we saw all these oven’s and storage. Then we went to the back of the shop to meet a 30 year experienced baker named Bret who was making some sort of bread. We met four people including Alex, Olivia and Michaela. Then we came back out to the front and Michaela told us some information about Baker’s Delight. After that we asked questions. Our group are very happy to be in the business and can not wait to go back!

On Friday the 22nd of February we had the twilight sports. First the year six’s did the 100 metre sprints, then they had long jump. The year 5’s had the sprints after the year six’s. Then all the years had their shuttle relay starting from the year six’s. After that the year six’s had their circular relay first and red won. The year fives had their circular relay and green came first. The year six’s every year have something called the gift when they have to run 400 metres. In the girls Tahlia won the gift and in the boys Matt did. Over all Red came first, Gold came second, Green came third and Blue came last. The night tured out fantastic!
